9	Band Instruments 9	Consistant practice Ongoing Practice. Students in this course should be practicing at least 3 times a week for 1/2 an hour. I can't stress how important this is. Ongoing practice is an important part of learning a musical instrument. Practice time should be spent playing long tones, exercises, learning and mastering articulations, and band tunes but most importantly start and end with something fun.
