Compulsory for all students grades  4-9.   30 minutes of instruction per day. Introduced in grade 7.  One French  class plus one Social Studies class offered in French.  (Non compulsory) 80-100% of instruction in French  beginning in grade Primary.  (Non compulsory) 70% of instruction in French beginning in grade 7.
