FOIPOP

All school boards in Nova Scotia are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPOP) Act. The FOIPOP Act promotes openness and accountability in public organizations, and also sets out important rules for protecting the privacy of personal information about individuals. School boards also follow the Nova Scotia Student Records Policy.

AVRSB makes information on Board policies, finances, programs and services, and staff contacts publicly available on our website. If you need other information on Board business, or if you wish to access confidential portions of your child’s school records, please contact the Board’s Communications and FOIPOP Officer.
